Next steps
Add device capabilities, choose delivery, and prepare your app for production.
You now have a standalone app that runs in a browser and native shells. Choose the guide for your next task.
Build your UI
Add file routes under src/routes. Use safe-area insets to keep controls clear of system UI, then add navigation transitions if your app needs them.
Add native capabilities
Each guide lists the optional dependency, config flag, and browser behavior. Start with haptic feedback, camera capture, or network status. Regenerate native projects after changing capability settings.
See custom plugins when a built-in capability does not cover your API.
Choose delivery and offline behavior
The starter uses remote mode and SSR. Follow offline routes to cache selected documents. Test with a production build over HTTPS or localhost; development mode does not register the service worker.
Use bundled mode to package the UI inside the native app. That guide includes the client-fetch, root-loader, and server-handler changes needed for bundled startup.
Prepare production settings
Set your app identifiers and icons and splash screen before distributing builds. In remote mode, configure origin with your deployed HTTPS URL. Review the configuration reference for navigation allowlists and platform overrides.
Deploy your TanStack Start server with a supported hosting setup. Native signing and app-store distribution belong to your app's release process.
Use the CLI reference for generation options and the delivery-mode explanation for authentication and offline limits.
